The Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun Hon. Barr. John Obukowho Nani, has extended his warm felicitations to all newly elected chairmen in Delta State on their well-deserved victory at the just-concluded Local Government Council election, noting that the victory is a testament to the confidence that the people of the state have in His Excellency, Gov. Oborevwori, the PDP, and the credibility of all the candidates.
In a statement on Sunday, Chief John Nani commended the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for his unwavering commitment to democratic principles and governance. He praised the Governor’s role in ensuring a peaceful and fair electoral process, which was vital in upholding the integrity of the elections. He also lauded the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DESIEC) for its exemplary conduct during the elections and acknowledged the commission’s efforts in maintaining transparency and fairness, which were pivotal in gaining the trust of the voters and ensuring the credibility of the electoral process.
The former Official Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Publicity Secretary also expressed his profound gratitude to the people of Delta State for their overwhelming support and participation in the elections. He noted that their decision to vote for the PDP is a testament to the party’s enduring legacy and commitment to the welfare of the people of the state, as demonstrated by His Excellency, Governor Oborevwori.
While congratulating Hon. Onogba Chris (Ethiope West), Chief Augustine Ogedegbe (Ethiope East), Hon. Abeke Bright Afure (Sapele), Hon Isaiah Esiovwa (Okpe), Chief Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode (Udu), Chief Tony Ofoni (Uvwie), Olorogun Jaro Egbo Ksc (Ughelli North), Dr. Lucky Avweromre (Ughelli South), and other elected council chairmen, he lauded their dedication and their robust campaigns that resonated with the electorate.
